Twilight Inchies

I made my first ever inchies! I'm in the Twilight Inchie swap on Swap-Bot but this set will probably be for me. The top left is actually made with see through ribbon, black for Jacob Black. Under the ribbon it says wolf pack and Jacob & Bella.
The fork is for Forks where the book/movie takes place. The glitter is because vampires sparkle in the sunlight. I like a man who sparkles, but I'm Team Jacob all the way! All sealed with Mod Podge, I love me some Mod Podge!

It's Been An eBay Day!

I've listed some great treasures this afternoon on eBay! 15 new uncut sewing patters in one lot. See them here. Listed them for $9.99!

5 Ottobre Kids magazines in one lot. Yes, these are the ones you have to pay $18 for each plus shipping. Listed all 5 of mine together for $24.99! Make them yours! Click here to see them.
A peek inside one of the Ottobres, SO PRETTY!

My de-stashing started when I sat down to sew some Twilight inchies for a swap on Swap-Bot. I can't find my rotary cutter! I have stuff taking over! So a few quick eBay auctions followed.

It's A Secret

I have been doing some sewing, but I can't show you because it's a secret. I made a quilt top for my mom and took it to a professional quilter. It came out AMAZING! When I took it in I was embarrassed by it but now I love it! Can't show you because my mom stops by.

I whipped up a matching pillow from the scraps of mom's quilt, but can't show you that either. The boys want it, but it matches mom's quilt so hopefully she will end up with it.

I've been working up a mini quilt from well over a year ago, trying to get it finished. In the process of quilting Hazel a quilt from a top that Ms Phyl sent me two years ago...I'm such a bad quilter.

Amadee has got me hooked on embroidery and I can't wait to give it a whirl. I've also been goggling instructions for "Dotees" and "inchies". I had no idea what they were but I feel an obsession coming on! Remember when you were a Girl Scout and you would make swaps? Little goodies on safety pins to trade with other Girl Scouts at events...Well Dotees are 3 inch dolls for grown up girls to trade and inchies are little 1 inch trinkets to trade. OCD kicking in!

Well back to life, maybe I'll have some photos to share in a few days.

I've Started A Grocery Blog

Groceries and coupons and freebies have been taking over my blog, which should be about quilting, crafts, life, and eBay. To fix this I've started a second blog 40bucksonfood.blogspot.com.

My new blog will be about coupons, freebies, groceries, cooking, recipes, and fun stuff like that. It will also focus on my new grocery challenge starting with the new year, $40 bucks a week on food. Sounds crazy and impossible? Maybe not. :o) Visit my other blog and join in.

A few months ago I was spending $100 a week on food plus $100 a week on fast food. Now I'm spending about $60-70 most weeks on food and we still have loads left at the end of the week. I'm challenging myself to take more control of my grocery spending and get down to $40 a week.

Follow along and maybe you can save some $$$ too!

Applique Blocks From Monday

Did I tell you how much I stink at applique. These blocks were done on Monday, last minute, one for October and one for November. One blue wren and one birdhouse.
